What to expect in your appintment
You've booked an appointment, or you're thinking of booking... but you want to know what exactly is in store and how to prepare!
You might be wondering, "Do I have to take my clothes off?", "What will she ask?", "Do I have to stay for the whole time?", or "What happens afterwards?" All your questions will be answered here... and if they're not, just reach out!
Let's start with the most commmon FAQ's
How should I prepare for my first consultation?
Before your first appointment, you'll receive a questionnaire to give me some background on your history and to help focus on your main health concerns. If you don't get to it, don't panic. We can work through it in the session. And there's no need to prepare anything physically, just bring yourself and be ready to talk! Out of courtesy to other patients, I ask that you arrive on time, whether its online or in person. Note that we don't have a waiting room at my practice - so promptness is a plus!
What can I expect during my appointment?
Expect a thorough discussion, but not an examination. As well as your health history and current concerns, your story is key in finding the right remedy for you, so I may ask seemingly unrelated questions. Don't worry, its all part of the process - but you are in control of what you share and you do not have to discuss anything you are not comfortable with. Appointments have a time range, sometimes we need longer, sometimes its less. This is not related to your level of care, so try not to worry about exact timings.
What happens after my appointment?
After your appointment, you’ll receive a prescription for your remedy and guidance on how to take it. If you’re local and I have the remedy in stock, you can collect it directly from me. I’ll also send a link for you to order it online. Homeopathic remedies are very inexpensive. I may recommend supplements too, but these are rarely imperative to the case, so you can decide if you want to take them. Follow-up appointments will track your progress and allow me adjust remedies if needed.
Your homeopathy appointment is a time for you to be heard in a safe, welcoming, and confidential space.
The consultation is all about YOU—your health, your experiences, and your unique way of responding to life.
You are encouraged to share what you are comfortable sharing, openly.
Prescription Support
-
If you have urgent concerns about your remedy or how you’re responding to it, please reach out via email—I’m here to support you every step of the way, especially if you’re feeling worried.
-
However, please be aware that if you’re experiencing a medical issue, it is very unlikely to be related to your remedy. Remedy reactions are extremely rare and usually mild. Before worrying, I encourage you to check the FAQs, where you may find reassurance.
-
For non-urgent questions, I kindly ask that you bring them to your follow-up appointment, where we can discuss your progress in more detail.
-
If you don’t feel you need a full follow-up but would still like to check in about something specific, I also offer 20-minute phone call appointments for brief questions at a lower rate. You can book one here.

I want to make sure that you feel fully informed and reassured, whilst also ensuring I can provide the best care to all my clients—including you!

Important Note
If you ever experience a medical emergency that feels urgent, dangerous, or life-threatening, please go to your nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) centre. Sadly, we do not have many homeopathic hospitals anymore, and homeopaths often work individually, so we cannot be available 24/7 in the same way A&E can.
